ATS stands for Associated Technological Solutions. It was created in 1984 from the merger of Associated Electric and Technological Manufacturing Corporation. Starting in 1991, it started making mobile phones. ATS was bought by Urban Corporation in 2010.
This section would lack a former logo at the content.
ATS was only making mobile components from this time period.
The 'arc' was the market logo of ATS. It was taken out of official use in 1999, but was still used on the SMOS branding until it was taken out of the market in 2001.
A byline and a red line replaced the 'arc' in 1999. They added 'Mobile Systems' underneath to coincide with the launch of SmartOS later that year.
In October 2001, the 'Mobile Systems' was dropped and the 'swoosh' was confined to history. SMOS was also pulled from the market at the time.
