WTHQ-TV, virtual channel 11 (digital channel 12) is an independent station licensed to Buffalo, New York. It is owned by WTHQ Inc. which is owned by 25% Embracer Group and 75% local Buffalo investors

In 1979, WTHQ-TV would launch as WLJN-TV, under the ownership of Jack Friedman, who named the station after his toy company LJN.
1986-1990[]
1990-1994[]
After LJN was acquired by Acclaim, it changed its branding to "Acclaim 11".
WTHQ-TV[]
1994-1997[]
As part of Acclaim's exit from broadcasting, WLJN would be sold to THQ and would change its call letters to the current WTHQ-TV.
1997-2005[]
On November 1st, 1997, WTHQ-TV would become an affiliate of Treehouse TV.

2013-2014[]
During December 2012, As part of THQ's liquidation of assets, WTHQ-TV was sold to WTHQ Inc (jointly owned by Buffalo based business and Sega). The sale was completed by June 2013.

2016-2019[]
On October 30th 2016, Sega sold its share in WTHQ to THQNordic, effectively returning THQ's control of WTHQ-TV.
2019-present[]
In 2019, WTHQ-TV would disaffiliate Treehouse TV and reverted back to an independent station. Around the exact same year, Entravision entered a LMA deal with WTHQ Inc. to operate the station.
